Finding the truth within religions.

Posted on Jan 12th, 2009 by RLtruthseeker-artist : Integral Mysticism RLtruthseeker-artist
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 12, 2009:

I don't need to pick a religion, I just need to find the various truth within all religions. The various insights of the mystics still ring true. All enlightened beings and sages have said the same thing-- that divinitity is within you, that the true nature of the Self is consciousness (without an object). I am not concerned with various concepts of truth, because truth is transrational and beyond all concepts. Truth is all inclusive. Otherwise it would be false.( However a smaller holon can seem to be false and partial within a greater holon, a greater context) There are no limits to truth, only limits on perception. Integral theory is currently the most comprehensive theory that covers the singular, the collective, the interior (subjective) and the exterior (objective) dimensions of truth. It is simply a greater context that is more inclusive. Everyone is free to practice whatever truths they want, and need, but everyone must ultimately embrace a greater context, both collectively and individually, because there is no separation in reality, only separation of contexts, worldviews and concepts. Ultimately truth is found in awakening, towards enlightenment. Your true Self is Reality, and you will extend this image of yourself (the ego) to encompass your Self, and Reality. Everyone is a part of you, because your identity is Spirit. Spirit transcends and includes everything. The illusion(maya) is that you are separate.

What question would you most like answered?

       Why? (Because you are loved).
Actually it would probably be more like How?, and then the Why? would become obvious.

What is your idea of heaven?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 14, 2008:

"Heaven and earth shall pass away" means that they will no longer exist as separate states.--- A Course in miracles.

Let the altar of your mind be the "holiest of holies" where "neither thieves nor criminals can break in".  Heaven will come of itself and will change all perceptions of the way people now see the world.

Where do you feel most free?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 23, 2009:

I feel the most free when I am with another person in friendship. Friendship is the shared space where there are no expectations. It is in this space where you can be fully authentic with another person, you don't have to wear a mask. It is In this space of my mind, where I can be fully authentic,  when I am not running from the world, or myself, this "contracting of consciousness," for a few seconds I totally forget myself, my boundaries, this false-self image, when I am laughing intensely, and I can totally accept everything right now. It is In this moment where I can fully accept the world, and also myself.

We lose ourselves in order to find ourselves.

What is the most difficult thing about your spiritual path?

Posted on Jan 27th, 2009 by RLtruthseeker-artist : Integral Mysticism RLtruthseeker-artist
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 27, 2009:

The most difficult thing about my spiritual path is in realizing that it's not difficult. I really mean this. You see spirituality is sort of a catch-22. We try so hard to become enlightened, "better versions" of ourselves, while not realizing that the process is part of the journey, and our attempts to "control" things and events, while not letting them unfold naturally and authentically. Thinking we have problems actually adds resistance to "problems." We can deal with negative emotions, pain and suffering, by not denying them or trying to run away from them, but becoming aware of them, being in the space with them, and releasing them. Enlightenment is sort of the most authentic and spontaneous part of ourselves, where we can meet anything in the world, and not mentally contracting away from it. This is the state where "being" and "doing" are united. Its not that enlightened people don't have goals (I think), it's just that they don't use those goals to define themselves.     It is as Dogzen said, we  "become enlightened by all things."

I'm still getting "there."

What does your intuition sound like?

Posted on Jan 29th, 2009 by RLtruthseeker-artist : Integral Mysticism RLtruthseeker-artist
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 29, 2009:

My intuition doesn't make a sound, because it arrives in silence. It develops through a feeling through the body, and it continually nags at my attention if I ignore it. Whereas going a certain way will lead to pain in the body, Spirit whispers and gently calls to the silence of peace, and when I trust my intuition, I arrive at peace. I ask my intuition, the Muse, the Holy Spirit, an open question, and then continually holding that question in my mind, without "me" trying to solve it, intuition comes in a flash of insight.  Call it the subconscious mind, or the divine mind, or the divine mind working through the subconscious mind, the point is that intuition can help us to arrive at knowledge.

Intution is the calling and the Voice inside yourself that "says" to you,  "There is something more here. Look beyond this form. Trust in me and in life."
