Sin

Sin is merely "a lack of love" and a correctible error (ACIM). "To sin" is merely to error. Currently the concept of "sin" in the Judeo-Christian world means "an unforgivable stain" of the soul which only God-bleach will get out! Lol. This current notion only serves to perpetuate the "guiltiness" of others.  Buddhists would say that there is no sin, there is only ignorance.

The Hebrew meaning of the word sin was het, it means to err. In classical Greek it was an archery word. It originally meant, "to miss the mark." We can see how we all "miss the mark" of perfection.

Sin is not the message that the mystic Jesus taught. When Jesus said, "Go and sin no more," he merely meant "Go and [commit] error no more." There are also those who would say that forgiveness of "sins" is only granted by God, and thus would keep themselves from offering forgiveness to their "brothers and sisters" of humanity.

The use of "unforgivable sins" would merely keep us from expanding our love towards others. There are no unforgivable sins [see unforgivable sins blog]. The concept of sin as a stain definitely has to go out the window. It has to be re-interpreted.

"If this is a mistake, it can be undone easily by truth. Any mistake can be corrected, if truth be left to judge it. But if the mistake is given the status of truth, to what can it be brought? The ‘holiness' of sin is kept in place by this strange device. As truth it is inviolate, and everything is brought to it for judgment. As a mistake, it must be brought to truth. It is impossible to have faith in sin, for sin is faithlessness. Yet it is possible to have faith that a mistake can be corrected." -ACIM
