The Fountain ( death is the road to awe )
(warning, this contains the ending to the movie, The Fountain)
The Spirit of the Fountain dies not.
It is called the Mysterious Feminine.
The Doorway of the Mysterious Feminine
is called Heaven-and-Earth.
Lingering like gossamer, it has only a hint of existence;
and yet when you draw upon it, it is inexhaustible. --Tao Te Ching
"Death: the mystics are unanimous that death contains the secret to life--to eternal life in fact. As Eckhart put it, echoing the mystics everywhere: "No one gets as much of God as those who are throughly dead." Or Ramana Maharshi: "You will know in due course that your glory lies when you cease to exist." Or the Zenrin. "While alive, live as a dead person, throughly dead."
They don't mean physically dead; they mean dead to the separate self. And you can 'test' your own spiritual awareness in relation to death by trying to imagine the following items;
A famous Zen koan says, "Show me your Original Face, the Face you had before your parents were born." This is not a trick question or a symbolic question; it is very straighforward, with a clear and simple answer. Your Original Face is simply the pure formless Witness, prior to the manifest world. The pure Witness, itself being timeless or prior to time, is equally present in all points of time. So of course this is the Self you had before your parents were born; it is the Self you had before the Big Bang, too. And it is the Self you will have after your body--and the entire universe--dissolves...
By "imagining" what you were like a thousand years ago or a thousand years hence, you drop your identity with the present body and ego, and find that in you which goes beyond you--namely, the pure, formless, timeless Self or Witness of the Entire World.." --Ken Wilber, The Simple Feeling of Being.
Together we will live forever.
In awe there is no "you"...there is only Spirit.

“Will you deliver 'Spain' from bondage?”
This is beautiful, RL! What I feel when love is brilliant in my soul…is love's whisper to me, “I won't let you die.”
Nothing whatever have I tasted so sweet as death. Die before death! Taste it!
Death breaks all boundaries, opens you to a vast experience. Nothing is lost! That's the greatest misunderstanding. In death you gain everything - lose nothing. Who would not want it, if only they knew?
The picture of god should be a phoenix in my eyes! that which rises over and over!
One who accepts death, you see him laughing (!), yes? Life is just a play-acting, nothing so serious.
There's a cure! - awareness! prrrrrrrrrr….You are not apart for a single moment from eternity.
Shewww!!!!..the video was quite intense! I felt happy to be grounded on earth for a few more days!!!!…before the great trip!
Thank you much, RL!
wow..!

Thank you for your lovely comments Cheyenne. Sorry, for my late ones.
All fear of death is the fear of loss of our identity. Even our loved ones. We become afraid of losing “a part of” ourselves, and that they are “gone” forever. This is impossible. Our true self-identity is Spirit (even going beyond the words), which transcends and includes everything. And life has no opposite…it is only in smaller definitions of life as carbon based life-forms.
And I could also go into really deep scientific reasons, (but I won't in this blog.)
You can also say that our egos die all the time. We have to die to false self-concepts, and continually empty ourselves out, in order to flow with life.
Paradoxically, I don't believe in true death. This is after people close to me have died and my own very close call with death. I believe in reincarnation. To me, the earth recycles our consciousness, as it does our bodies. Energy doesn't die, it only changes form. After my own close call, I grew to appreciate life more because of it's fragileness. And I meditated on death, and treated it as an advisor. It helped me to appreciate life more.
Now, I no longer meditate on death…but I try to embody presence and life more. Fear is a contraction from life. Can we embody this presence, becoming spontaneous, and not contract from life? Can we become childlike, with mature and compassionate wisdom, loving life and all its richness?
This is what I try to embody.
Thank you again for your comments, Cheyenne. They mean alot to me.
Sincerely,
rl.
That's beautiful, RL. I know every word you say. I understand it.
I know this feeling, wishing, needing to hold those you love, want - and nothing can be done. Knowing the death of my own dreams - wanting life to be true, only that true. Wanting love to be true, and only that true -
Screaming as I lose everything!
And over and over going through death, discovering that only love is true, only life is - knowing myself as this - love, life. But how we get through it, falling apart over and over! (smile!!)
Yes, childlike! - I feel it as if I am as vulnerable as a wet paper towel. I often think people would be surprised to know this of me - (laughing!!!)
Why believe, RL! -??? (smile!)…I jump everyday into death, utter silence!, bath in it! - God! It takes skill to die! And desire to be reborn in truth!
You no longer meditate on death? - hmmmmmm? Today, I felt death coming, the brilliance, the relief, the lose of all boundaries, limits - (!)..how much I want this death! How much I yearn for a consciousness that has reached beyond my nervous system! -
but you are right - meditate on life! On love! You are right!
Thank you so much for sharing this!
When death comes for me, I am going to try and EAT HIM, before HE EATS ME!!!…and he knows it! I train daily - like a warrior (!) - waiting on my love! The Bride - waiting on her Bridegroom!!! (smile!)..
Thank YOU, RL!

I reflected on something, RL - on our conversations on death, and my personal determination and absolute resolve to experience transformation and unity of consciousness. As I was running this morning, the reason become very clear to me….
…it gives the soul dignity. Glory. Just to trust is not enough for me…trust only gives the courage to move into utter insecurity.
Wishing you a wonderful day…today and everyday!
with love,
cheyenne
And may this shared identity always be glorified….Amen( which means truly).
